After watching this episode, I feel that episodes like these aren't so bad to watch every once in a while. Just call it "taking a break" from canon material for a bit. I feel that a lot of Bleach fans wouldn't mind if the animators would follow this trend of having single episodes of fillers between the main storyline. After all, look at how One Piece is pacing along as an excellent example.
With that aside, the content in the filler was quite interesting and, yet, hilarious. They decided to make a parody of the Soul Society arc by changing the costumes and names of each character. Byakuya's entry in the episode was probably one of the best parts. There may be a few fans out there that just didn't get anything out of this episode, which I can understand. Rest assured, we return to canon next week! Stay tuned.

This arc has been going on for too many years with it's fillers. Another random filler episode is not refreshing or welcomed at all. Why can't this anime get cancelled so I can laugh at it.
ReplyDeleteWhile not as spiteful of Bleach as Anon above me, I do have to agree that Bleach has worn out its welcome with fillers. I started watching when it was around its 120th or so episode, and sitting through the bounto, the princess (2 of them), and whatever other one that they had, the anime is half filler. It's ridiculous. I understand the need to not catch up to the manga, but I mean come on, they're easily 50 chapters behind, if not more. I don't know where the manga is going but I think it's gonna be done soon, so why not just keep going?
