Gintama

Both an ongoing Anime series and Manga, Gintama is definitely one of a kind. Having no type of plot whatsoever, being known for its comedy and displaying random themes, it brings something new to Anime fans. Some may, of course, either get something out it or be disappointed by the looks of it. Since it hasn't officially been licensed yet, it's currently available in Japanese SUBs. The question is: Is it going to get as popular as Bleach, Naruto, and other Shonen series?

Gintoki is one of the few samurais left from traditional times ever since the Amanto have arrived in Edo. The amanto are a group of aliens that dominate and disallow humans, particularly samurai, from keeping swords. Gintoki Sakata becomes friends with Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura, where all three live together under one roof. They are known as being members of the Yorozuya, meaning "Jack-Of-All-Trades". Gin cannot pay rent so they all get together in seeking jobs that can pay.

Bleach Episode 246 - Zanpakuto Arc Intensifies

A great deal of things were revealed during this episode of Bleach. It looks like the barrier made by Sōgyo no Kotowari, Katen Kyōkotsu, and Minazuki is not fully strong enough to hold Yamamoto's Ryūjin Jakka. The crew including Kenpachi, Ukitake, Kyōraku, Yoruichi, and Ichigo have entered Muramasa's cave, hoping to pinpoint Yamamoto's location and come to his rescue. Kenpachi, as usual, dashes right in without any form of strategy and is walking in the dark. He eventually comes across Gonryōmaru and Tenken, but the action won't start until next week. Ichigo destroys Kazeshini with launching the Getsuga Tenshou and apologizes to Hisagi-San.

The most exciting part about this episode was seeing Shunsui Kyōraku's and Jūshirō Ukitake's Zanpakutos in real form. During the next episode, we'll hopefully see a decent fight. But since this is a filler arc, Tite Kubo might not fully reveal their techniques or Zanpakuto's forms other than Shikai. Besides, there's other things on the plate, such as the mysterious Senbonzakura mask that Byakuya has on and the outlook of Bleach episode 248:
"Dragon of Ice and Dragon of Flame! The Strongest Showdown!"
"Kōri no ryū to honō no ryū! Saikyō taiketsu!" (氷の龍と炎の龍!最強対決!)
What does this mean? Most Bleach fans believe that the title may have to do with a battle between Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto and Tōshirō Hitsugaya. Preferably, it would have to be a battle between Hyōrinmaru and Ryūjin Jakka, since it's not like Yamamoto has turned against the Shinigamis or anything.

Kenpachi & Byakuya's Fight Canceled, Yamamoto Revealed

It looks like Mayuri Kurotsuchi's zanpakuto, Ashisogi Jizō, has ended the fight between Kenpachi and Byakuya. It's poison also injured a couple vice captains along the way. The fight between Kenpachi and Byakuya has been postponed and we won't know if they will end up going head to head again or not, at least from the way things are going. Yoruichi has now made her appearence in the Soul Society and claims that she knows where their leader, Muramasa, is hiding out.
The episode ended with quite a bang, as Yamamoto is shown trapped inside some sort of green triangle that's formed by Shunsui's & Ukitake's zanpakutos. The third zanpakuto was Unohana's Minazuki (spirit), who wears a hood. You may ask, "Why is the Gotei 13's captain-commander so easily trapped inside here?" Well, if you take a look at the next few Bleach episodes, you'll find that the next episode (246) is conerning Yamamoto's rescue. It's funny how every time one episode ends in this arc, you'll imagine different possiblities for the upcoming episodes. Most Bleach fans would agree to the fact that these possibilities are a result of a fan-based Anime.

Kenpachi Steps In The Zanpakuto Arc... V.S. Byakuya?!

As I was already excited for Kenpachi to finally make his appearance in the Zanpakuto arc, the fact that he wanted to fight Byakuya only added fire to the excitement! Without a doubt, this was the best episode in the Zanpakuto arc! Of course, the first episode was an exception because that's when we actually found out that it was going to be quite an arc. The episode with Ichigo working with Shirosaki in a fight against Zangetsu and Muramasa was quite interesting as well.

Kenpachi entered the field quite flashily, as Soifon made a comment on how reckless and loud he is. His reiatsu (spiritual pressure) pretty much exploded from the start, making every body but Byakuya Kuchiki the only one left on the field. So now we see a one-on-one battle between two of the most powerful captain-level shinigamis in the Soul Society! So far, the battle has started out as it should. No less can be expected from Zaraki and Byakuya because one has been known for utilizing his speed and millions of blades, while the other one uses massive amounts of reiatsu and fighting spirit. Many Bleach fans will have differences of opinions in discussing exactly who is stronger; Personally, I think Kenpachi is a beast and has the upper hand if he uses all his strength. But, then again, there probably won't be a winner as the outcome of this battle since a battle to the death is not going to happen. Neither Kenpachi nor Byakuya can die, but we will definitely seeing an interesting match.
