Naruto Shippuden: Never-Ending Fillers

Although it is unconfirmed, it is said that Naruto Shippuden fillers will end anywhere from the end of December to mid January. The Five Kage Summit Arc should initiate shortly after, putting Anime fans in a more calm mood. I suppose Tenten fans were relieved to see she got dedicated airtime in episode 184, even though it was among a series of pointless fillers. While fillers might be the only means to separate Anime from the Manga, having an episode dedicated to a talking Ostrich is where they should draw the line.

It's likely Bleach will enter fillers as Naruto Shippuden exits the phase (possibly in late January). As it's getting extremely close to the Manga, it's clear that the Anime team wants to finish the arc up quickly. After all, the fact that Isshin has already appeared is considered old news now (not to mention the cliffhanger with Urahara Appearing at the end of episode 297).

Stay tuned for more updates on Naruto Shippuden fillers.

Bleach Forthcoming: Episode Titles Updated

Take a glance at the next four upcoming Bleach episode titles:

297.) "The Extending Blade?! Ichigo vs. Gin!"
"Nobiru ha!? Ichigo VS Gin!" (映画だ!祭りだ!死神映画祭!)
298.) "Film! Festival! Shinigami Film Festival!"
(映画だ!祭りだ!死神映画祭!)
299.) "Theatre Opening Commemoration! Hell Chapter・Prologue"
(劇場公開記念!地獄編・序章)
300.) "Urahara Appears! Stop Aizen!"
(浦原登場!藍染を阻止せよ!)

After next week's episode, the next two will be fillers. However, episode 299 seems to be a promotional one in that it features the new Bleach Movie 4: "Hell Chapter" (scheduled for release in Japan on December 4, 2010). It's possible that 298 might be similar to the promo, and if not, a filler.

The 300th episode of Bleach should be a memorable one, since Kisuke Urahara will finally make his entrance in the battle against Aizen. Anime fans who are not following the Manga will certainly get their hopes met, as they have been wondering what the former captain of squad 12 has been up to. Isshin has already appeared in the preview for Tomorrow's episode, which is amazing as it is!

Bleach Episode 295: Ichigo's Past Battles

It's not surprising that today's episode of Bleach was mostly a flashback. It was expected sooner or later since the Anime's pacing lately has been 2 to 3 manga chapters per episode. Aizen's famous "x was a part of my plan" speech was delivered and flashbacks from Ichigo's past battles were shown. Interestingly, footage of Aizen & Gin watching Ichigo's progress was shown as well (similar to the Dr. Gero scenario from Dragon Ball Z).

More importantly, Isshin will be making his appearance next week! Round 2 will start off between Ichigo & Gin as well. Today's episode only showed flashbacks up to the end of Soul Society, so let's hope they don't attempt to show the remaining ones from Hueco Mundo next week (i.e., battles with Grimmjow and Ulquiorra). Stay tuned!

Yamamoto Unveiled: Bleach Episode 294

Another great episode of Bleach kicks off this week as the Captain Commander shows his massive strength and potential. As expected of the head captain of the Gotei 13, he packs a wallop even without the use of his Ryūjin Jakka. Who would have guessed that Wonderweiss Margera's main purpose was to seal the flames of Yamamoto's Zanpakuto? Even so, Sōkotsu (Dual Bone) proved to be quite the hand-to-hand attack and left the Arrancar completely obliterated. Using a high level Kidō, Yamamoto's Ittō Kasō (Hadou #96) left Aizen in a predicament and Ichigo plans to join the battle!

It's certain that the Animation team wants to go ahead and finish up the arc before any possible fillers take the spotlight in Bleach. Since the Manga is already advancing within the next arc, it shouldn't be a problem at all. Perhaps you've noticed how fast the pacing has been rolling along in the past few episodes. An average of 2-3 chapters easily get paced into single episodes.

Get ready for more exciting action from Ichigo & Aizen. Let's not forget about Ichimaru Gin, Kurosaki Isshin, Urahara Kisuke, and Shihōin Yoruichi. Stay tuned.

Bleach Episode 293 Review

Today marks one of the most epic episodes in Bleach history. First of all, animation seemed to be much better and drawn in more detail. Overall music, facial expressions, and fight scenes set the stage and delivered intense emotions. Censorship in Bleach is taking another turn, as the kind of blood that was shown during the Soul Society arc is back. More importantly, Komamura's arm is slashed off by Aizen without any mercy on censorship.

You might wonder why Hiyori getting cut in half was censored. Perhaps the Animation team did not have problems with Komamura's injuries because he is not human. In any case, the action shown today in episode 293 covered 3 entire Bleach chapters. Pacing seems to be moving along fine and next week is the Captain-Commander's turn to fight against Aizen.

Ichigo is the only one who has not seen Aizen's shikai, but does that really give him the advantage? Aizen's basic battle skills, alone, proved they were superior against his hollowfied form during last episode. Stay tuned as the next few episodes will uncover Ichigo's true power!

Bleach in November: Isshin & Gin

Note: The episode titles shown in this post have been updated. Please click here to go to the updated post.

Now that Ichigo's back and Aizen is taking on everybody in Fake Karakura Town, the action finally begins! Not only has Shinji revealed his shikai, but we will get to see some more long-awaited action from Captain-Commander Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. These are the episodes that most Bleach fans have been waiting to see, since it's what stirred up the mix in the Manga a couple of months ago.

Let's take a close look at the upcoming episodes:

297.) "Return! The Mysterious Isshin"
"Modoru! Isshin no nazo" (戻る!一心の謎)
298.) "The Bankai That Exceeds Limits! Ichimaru VS Ichigo"
"Seigen o koeru bankai! Ichimaru VS Ichigo" (制限を超える卍解!市丸VS一護)

Can it really be?! Kurosaki Isshin, who is one of the characters we know nothing about, will finally get his share of airtime in the Anime! Will his "mysterious" character finally be revealed to us? Is he really a captain from the Royal Guard (Squad 0) as the rumors say? Two things that will be most interesting once he appears in Fake Karakura Town: Ichigo's reaction and, of course, Isshin's fighting abilities. Who knows?

Ichimaru Gin is going to get his airtime as well in episode 298. Seeing Gin and Ichigo finish their battle will be most amusing as well. Recollect that the last time they fought was back in Soul Society when Ichigo & the gang first entered the Seireitei (heart of Social Society). Whose Bankai is the title referring to? Only the Manga fans would know of this (not to mention Gin's fate during this arc).

At the rate the Anime is going, expect a very long filler in Bleach following shortly after this arc. If we're already getting towards Isshin, the distance between the Anime and Manga is but a small gap. Face it: Fillers would be the price we pay for getting non-stop canon material. Anyway, let's get ready to see Isshin soon!

Fairy Tail: One Week Break

After the introduction of Jellal, more and more mysteries have started to reveal. In the last eight episodes of Fairy Tail, we've finally seen action between Laxus and Mystogan. After causing absolute chaos within the Fairy Tail guild, Makarov has expelled Laxus from the organization. Episode 48 showed us a different side of Laxus and it turned out to be quite emotional. Now that Laxus's character has been shown (along with the fact that he is a Dragon Slayer), all attention turns to Mystogan. Even though he resembles Jellal, he claims he is not and disappears in a split second after Erza and Natsu see his real face.

Fairy Tail continues next week to air episode 48. Even though the Anime has many similarities with One Piece, Fairy Tail delivers an excellent plot, character design, and exhibit unique back stories. If you are into Bleach, Naruto Shippuden or One Piece, you will learn to appreciate this Anime for what it offers. Fillers in Fairy Tail are limited, unlike those other three Shōnen series.

Bleach: Forthcoming Action

Feast your eyes on the upcoming Bleach episode titles:

292.) "All Out War! Aizen vs. Shinigami"
"Zenmen sensō! Aizen VS shinigami" (全面戦争!藍染VS死神)

293.) "Blade of Hatred! Hitsugaya, Enraged!"
"Nikushimi no ha! Hitsugaya, gekkō!" (憎しみの刃!日番谷、激昂!)

294.) "The Sealed Genryūsai"
"Fūin sareta Genryūsai" (封印された元柳斎)

It looks like there's a series of surprises, even after Shinji's shikai gets revealed. However, the Anime is getting closer to the Manga more than ever. Let's cross our fingers and hope that this isn't a cue for fillers. Since Shinji claims that his Zanpakuto (Sakanade, 逆撫, Counter Stroke) has abilities that can affect senses just as Aizen's Kyōka Suigetsu does, it seems we will get to see Aizen be forced to draw his sword and fight.

Since Tia Harribel has been disposed of, Hitsugaya's targets have changed. The question arises: Will he go toe-to-toe with Aizen or cross swords with Gin? Moreover, will he get payback for the blow Aizen inflicted on him back in Central 46 grounds? Or will he finish his fight with the one that was prohibited from making Hinamori spill even a drop of blood? (Gin, but ended up being Aizen who gave her the low blow).

In the Anime, Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai has not had any airtime ever since he toasted Allon (Ayon) and Halibel's Fracción. Since all the espada in Fake Karakura Town have been wiped out, all focus will be on Aizen. The only underlings left on his side are Gin and Tōsen. But what about the rumored Vasto Lorde?

All in all, let's be grateful that the Anime has made it this far (in terms of canon material) without any series of fillers. Episode 287 was a single filler, so it never really killed anybody.

Stay tuned.

Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama: Anime Ends

Today marked the last episode of the Anime series:

Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama [Kaichō wa Maid-sama! (会長はメイド様! The Student Council President is a Maid!]

Even though the Manga seems to be on-going, the Anime team decided to rush to 26 episodes and the show met its end. I say "rushed" because there was so much more material they had left to cover. In fact, they could have squeezed at least 10 - 20 more episodes to fully portray the Manga content. Not to mention the character, Hinata Shintani, was introduced so late in the series. However, some fans may feel that the relationship between Misaki Ayuzawa and Usui Takumi was dragging on for far too along and feel relief from the show's early conclusion. As a shōjo series, Kaichou Wa Maid-Sama is definitely an excellent one. Let's hope that the rumored season 2 no longer becomes a rumor.

Naruto Shippuden: One Week Break

If you are anxiously waiting for the next Naruto Shippuden episode to come out tomorrow, you might be disappointed to hear that it won't be happening. The next air date for the Anime is scheduled for September 30, 2010. Naruto Shippuden episode 179 is titled as follows:

"Kakashi Hatake, The Jonin in Charge"
"Tantō Jōnin Hatake Kakashi" (担当上忍はたけカカシ)

It was unfortunate for us to look forward to even more fillers, but in actuality the Animation team decided to take a one-week break and put oil in the fire. So, how many episodes of filler are left? This is currently unconfirmed. Some fans believe that canon material will continue starting from episode 180, which is titled as the following:

"Inari's Tested Courage"
"Inari, Tamesareru Yūki" (イナリ、試される勇気)

Since Inari is a character that is tied to canon material in the Manga, fans seem to believe this may not be a filler after all. All will be explained next week. Stay tuned.

Unohana's Chat With Ichigo

This week's episode of Bleach was quite interesting. Kurotsuchi Mayuri opens up the Garganta with the assistance of Nemu. It looks like Unohana and Ichigo are headed to Karakura town for the real battle against Aizen! Along the way, Unohana asks Ichigo what he thought of Aizen's powers when he first confronted him in Soul Society. Fortunately, it turns out that Ichigo is the only one who has not seen Aizen's shikai.

Anyone who sees Sōsuke Aizen's shikai automatically falls under his "complete hypnosis", as he calls it. Aside from that, another important point gets established about Ichigo. He explains how his Shihakusho changes when he does bankai. Furthermore, his Shihakusho is an important part of his bankai and only a part of it was restored when Orihime healed him. It signifies the amount of spiritual pressure he has. Since it takes Orihime a while to heal spiritual pressure (reiatsu), he didn't stick around for it.

So the question is, how strong is Ichigo? Expect to see much-awaited action when these two arrive in Karakura town. Let's hope the animation team plans to finish up the arc before going into long-term fillers as always. Bleach Manga seems to be approximately 25 to 30 episodes ahead based on the current pacing. Stay tuned.

Shinji Hirako's Shikai: Next Month

It looks like the Fake Karakura Town Arc is yielding another surprise. Bleach episode 291 reads:

"Desperate Struggle with Aizen! Hirako, Shikai!"
"Aizen to no shitō! Hirako, shikai!" (藍染との死闘!平子、始解!)

It looks like we will finally get to see Hirako's shikai! What do we know about his nature from the Anime so far? For starters, a lot of the times he is seen upside down. Recall when he first confronts Ichigo by fighting in the sky during Isshin's surprise episode (Bleach episode 111). But then again, Shinji displayed another form of power later during the TBTP (Turning Back The Pendulum) Arc. Recall as Aizen was spying on Urahara and Hirako broke the ice by negating his hiding spot. The fact that it caught Aizen's surprise makes it an important ability. Does it mean that we can finally expect seeing a formidable threat go up against Sōsuke Aizen?

For those of you that keep up with the Manga, this is perhaps of little interest to you. But I'm sure seeing the animation won't be as bad as the latest filler that people have lately despised. Stayed tuned!

Bleach Filler: Priceless

After watching this episode, I feel that episodes like these aren't so bad to watch every once in a while. Just call it "taking a break" from canon material for a bit. I feel that a lot of Bleach fans wouldn't mind if the animators would follow this trend of having single episodes of fillers between the main storyline. After all, look at how One Piece is pacing along as an excellent example.

With that aside, the content in the filler was quite interesting and, yet, hilarious. They decided to make a parody of the Soul Society arc by changing the costumes and names of each character. Byakuya's entry in the episode was probably one of the best parts. There may be a few fans out there that just didn't get anything out of this episode, which I can understand. Rest assured, we return to canon next week! Stay tuned.

The Breaker Manga: A Closer Look

For those of you that haven't heard about The Breaker, I highly recommend checking it out. The manga consists of magnificent art and the main storyline/plot can lure in many people of different interests. Particularly, it consists of Shōnen-like themes and fights.

Here is my attempt at the plot:

Shin Woon, a weak high school student, is constantly being beaten to a pulp by an arrogant bully named Chang Ho. One day, a strange new teacher by the name of Chun Woo (Sunsengnim) is appointed in his homeroom. Shin-Woo learns that Chun Woo (Sunsengnim) has incredible fighting techniques and uses a special power called Ki (Chi). He makes a vow that he will protect himself and his friend (girlfriend) Sae Hie (Saehee) from threats and begs Chun Woo (Sunsengnim) to train him, but his request is declined. Later, it is confirmed in the Manga that Chun Woo is a secret killer known as Gumunryong (Goomoonryong). "Gumunryong is a title given to a person who has mastered nine different techniques." As a highly advanced and experienced fighter, part of Gumunryong's mission is to get revenge in regards to his master's death. There are lots of other characters that get introduced in the story as it progresses.

The Breaker does not include of an Anime series, but it's likely that it will come out with one after some time. The Manga for The Breaker is currently on-going and fairly new, so don't expect an Anime any time soon.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Patch

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep has been released in Japan for quite some time now. If you are running custom firmware on your PSP, then you have probably already downloaded the ISO/CSO (if you are a true Kingdom Hearts fan). However, you will only find the Japanese version and, in most cases, the game will not run. There is a patch for this. If you would point your browser to Google and do a search including the keywords "KHBBS patch", you are sure to find more information for the process.

If you haven't modded your PSP and wish to actually buy the title for your device, consider yourself lucky in about a week. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is scheduled for release in the U.S. on September 7th (09/07/2010).

Bleach: Interesting Characters To Think About

Most of us have been focusing on characters that are getting airtime in the Fake Karakura Town arc. Then there are the others who are busy with things over at Hueco Mundo. However, have you ever wondered what's going on with the rest of the characters that we haven't heard of in a while?

Let's look at a clear map of the characters and their location (Be sure to note characters in bold):

Division 7
Captain Sajin Komamura: Fake Karakura Town

Division 8

Vice Captain Nanao Ise: Unknown (Possibly in Soul Society)
Division 9
Vice Captain Shūhei Hisagi: Fake Karakura Town
Division 10

Others outside the current Gotei 13 (護廷十三隊, Goteijūsantai) that are unknown in terms of location include Urahara Kisuke and Yoruichi Shihōin. More importantly, where is Kurosaki Isshin?! I guess we will find out as Bleach uncovers as the Fake Karakura Town arc progresses further! Stay tuned.

One Piece [Action & Pacing]

Many incredible things are happening in One Piece Anime. Whitebeard has arrived on the scene and the Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor-Tremor Fruit) has been revealed. Evidently, he has been standing in the same exact spot on his ship (Moby Dick) for the past three episodes! This, however, doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. One positive aspect about One Piece's pacing is that because of the fact it may be slow, it's a great way to avoid fillers. In fact, if the pacing would be any faster I believe the animators would be forced to show as many fillers as Naruto Shippuden or Bleach. Many have said that One Piece fillers have always been more interesting than both of those Anime series.

More airtime has also been given to recently-introduced characters such as Admiral Akainu. We have also seen new powers of devil fruit users such as Marco the Phoenix and Diamond Jozu. Juracule "Hawk-Eyes" Mihawk has, once again, given us a small performance of his swordsmanship skills. "Little" Oars Jr. is a new character that has fallen on the battlefield shortly after he was introduced to show his friendship with Ace and create emotion among the audience. These features represent One Piece for what it really is.

Many of us wait for the action that is coming up once Luffy arrives on the grounds of Marine Ford. For those of you that read One Piece Manga, perhaps you are waiting for the way animators will show the cruel fates of Ace & Whitebeard. Stay tuned.

The Latest On Upcoming Bleach Filler

You may have heard of Bleach fans talking about how disappointing it is that another Bleach filler will air starting from episode 287. There is good news and bad news. The bad news is, of course, the fact that Bleach episode 287 will be a filler. The title reads the following:

"Side Story! Ichigo and the Magic Lamp" "Gaiden! Ichigo to mahou no ranpu" (外伝!一護と魔法のランプ)

As for the good news, the filler will be a single episode (hence the word "Gaiden" from the title). We won't have to worry about any arcs or series of filler episodes anymore (not anytime soon, at least). The short filler, if anything, should be interesting. Will Ichigo take the role of Aladdin? I guess only time will tell.

How do we know it will be a single episode filler? Bleach list of episodes have been updated and suggest two episodes that will air after the filler:

Episode 288: "The Final Trump Card! Ichigo, Towards the Decisive Battle" "Saigo no kirifuda! Ichigo, kessen e" (最後の切り札!一護、決戦へ)

Episode 289: "Byakuya vs. Kenpachi?! The Melee Commences" "Byakuya VS Kenpachi?! Ransen kaishi" (白哉VS剣八?!乱戦開始)

Bleach Anime's pacing is coming along really well. The much-anticipated fight with Yammy V.S. Byakuya & Kenpachi is coming soon. In fact, both captains are shown in next episode's preview. Unohana and Kurotsuchi will be getting their share of airtime as well.

"Hero of the Hidden Leaf" "Konoha no eiyū" (木ノ葉の英雄)

This week's episode was one of the best in both Naruto/Naruto Shippuden. I say both because it had two important elements: emotion and achievement. Naruto has now become a hero of the hidden leaf and he is now finally accepted as one by everyone in Konoha. This is what Naruto has always wanted, even from the start of the Naruto series. Being recognized as a hero by the majority of people who used to think of him as a failure means Naruto is one step closer to becoming Hokage.

The end of Pain arc is here and it looks like the next two episodes (at the least) are parts of a filler. They want to focus on a back-story of Iruka, which should be somewhat amusing. The Pain arc had pretty good pacing, but now we are getting closer and closer to the Manga. When in doubt, just throw in some fillers! Stay tuned.

Standing By For Code Geass R3...

For those of you that are Code Geass fans, we all remember the last scene shown in the final episode of season 2. No explanation has been confirmed for it, but one thing's for sure: It's not over yet. Code Geass R3 is definitely going to come! The big question is.. when? You might be familiar with the following terms that claim to hold the name of the next season:

Code Geass Gaiden Bōkoku no Akito
The Ruined Land of Akito
Rebirth
Project Launch Green-Lit

Some sources, however, say that there won't be a R3! They claim that there will be a next season, but the new Code Geass series will aim at a sequel. A few are saying it will turn out to be a remake, similar to how Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was made to establish a more accurate connection to the manga. Code Geass R3 is definitely going to release in late 2010 (according to many sources on the net). Stay tuned.

Hiyori Sarugaki Cut Down?!

Most of us had heard about the fact that Hiyori was to be cut down by Gin, but who would've known that it would turn out like this in the Anime? In the manga, Hiyori is clearly cut in half before she even realizes it. The Anime takes censorship to a whole new level by showing Hiyori's defeat from a wound in the stomach. But then again, Anime has censored many other things such as Halibel's outfit or Ulquiorra ripping off Ishida's hand.

But I think the bigger question is... Will Hiyori die or stay alive from being cut down by Ichimaru Gin? All the healers are unavailable at the fake Karakura town at the time so the chances are slim to none. Orihime is busy at the top of Las Noches healing Ishida and Unohana is still in the depths of Hueco Mundo along with her Vice Captain Isane Kotetsu. Kira is the only healer left in Karakura town, but he is busy healing Matsumoto and Hinamori. Moreover, I doubt he would side with the Vizards unless Yamamoto requested for it.

Hiyori Sarugaki has been an interesting character, as she is the only female in Bleach that is not interested in males. I doubt that Kubo would kill off any protagonist so easily, so to all the Hiyori fans: Worry not! Stay tuned.

End Of Inuyasha: The Final Act & Gintama (Temporary)?!

So as expected, the Anime series Inuyasha: The Final Act has finally come to an end. If you read the manga, of course, you saw it coming. It was also a fact that this series was only to contain 26 episodes. A lot of fans had complained that the story was dragging on too much, as Naraku was becoming some sort of invincible antagonist and never showed any signs of dying. Anyway, the end of the series ended out pretty good. It seems I'll be watching one less Anime per week from now on. There's going to be no point in looking forward to Mondays any more!

As for Gintama, there was a surprise at the end of last week's episode (# 201). At the end of the episode, they usually show a preview of the upcoming week's release. At the end of episode 201, there was nothing. This can result into one of three from the following:
1.) They're joking, as they've done before.
2.) They're taking a break in the Anime, so that they can allow the gap to increase from the Manga.
3.) It could be over for good?

Naruto Shippuden, once again, is skipping another week's episode and having another special on April 8th. Stay tuned.

Bleach Filler Almost Over!

Following the Zanpakutō arc was yet another filler arc from episode 256 and onward. The Sword Fiend filler is about near its end, as three more episodes remain. From a majority of online discussions and sources, it seems that Bleach Anime is to return to canon at episode 266, which will air on April 13th. These fillers were fairly long, as they lasted for almost a year! (10 Months) Meanwhile, this gave the Manga to seperate itself more further from the Anime.

We'll get back to the fight between Ulquiorra and Ichigo, as well as the showdown in Karakura town. Shortly after the Karakura town arc, Tite Kubo has promised us an Isshin arc, which will come after a short arc in between. There should be many surprises ahead, not to mention an arc that reveals what Kurotsuchi Mayuri has found in Szayel Aporro Granz's lab.

Naruto Shippuden Returns to Canon [Original Plot]

The last seven episodes in Naruto Shippuden, which were fillers, are finally over! Why do I say finally? Well, for starters, seven episodes may not sound like a lot. Time-wise, however, that's about a 3-month period! But this filler is actually considered short compared to previous fillers we've had, especially in the Naruto series. There was no episode released this week, as there will be a Naruto Shippuden special next Thursday. We'll get to see Naruto's reaction to Jiraiya's death, as well as him initializing his training for Sage Mode.

As surprising as it is, it turns out that Utakata never really appears in the Manga or Canon. Even though he is the 6-tailed beast, he merely fulfills a role in a filler. That explains why he was killed off so easily by Pein.

Stay tuned and look out for Naruto Shippuden episode 152 next Thursday, which will be a 2-episodes special!

Beast Swords Arc To Follow Zanpakuto Filler

A new filler will rise as soon as the current one comes to an end, which is to be marked after episode 255. The majority of Bleach fans aren't showing too much excitement towards this filler, as the average person's crave for the Zanpakuto filler started going down after it got halfway through. Only two more episodes remain, which is the good part. The bad part is that until April the 13th, the Anime will not revert back to Canon. But compared to other fillers, like the Bount arc, this is a small price to pay.

So, what about this new Beast swords filler arc? According to a few sources, the Beast swords are supposed to be rivals to the Zanpakuto. It sounds pretty interesting, however, I just hope it's not something similar to Season 9: The New Captain Shusuke Amagai. This was the filler that had those weapons that consume the user's life for power, which is kind of overrated now. The only way a filler is interesting is when you have lots of fights and new character coverage. Anyway, we'll see what this is all about when the new arc starts on February 2.
